Fun Parks

Zoomarine is a fantastic ocean theme park, the best in southern Europe.  It offers great enterainment and education for children and adults alike, with super shows and exhibitions featuring dolphins, seals, sharks, parrots, crocodiles and other species. 

Slide & Splash

Slide & Splash boasts numerous fun water slides, ranging from very easy rides for very young children to the more challenging Kamikaze, Torrents and Black Hole for the big children of all ages.

Bellavista Leisure Park

Five minutes walk from the apartment is the fantastic Bellavista Leisure Park.  The activities available here include; Mini-golf, quad bikes, a football school, a tennis school and the fantastic fun factory.

 

Golf

The Algarve is considered to be one of the best golf destinations in the world.  The course layout, the beautiful landscape and the year round mild climate, are the reasons why golf players love playing here.  With over 30 courses close by it can be difficult to choose were to play.  See the golf section of this site for more details.

The apartment is less than 5 minutes from the new Albufeira Pitch & Putt 9 hole course which is due to open in the summer 2008.

Algarves Top Ten Attractions

  1. The Algarve is renowned for its beaches, and some the best are minutes walk from the apartment.
  2. Watersports, such as scuba diving, windsurfing and fishing, are all readily available.
  3. The mountainous areas just inland from Albufeira is ideal for walking and biking. 
  4. The fantastic water parks just where children can swim with dolphins and see other wild animals.
  5. The night life in Albufeira is considered the best in Algarve.  Whether you would like to dance the night away in a night club, share a glass or two of wine over a fantastic meal or just sit on the apartments large balcony watching the sun go down, Albufeira has it all. The bars and cafes around the marine are not to be missed.                        
  6. The fantastic cities of Lisbon & Seville are just over two hours away and may trips to these citys travel every day. (did you know that women over 60 and men over 65 get free travel in Portugal)
  7. The unspoiled city of Tavira boasts many sights, including the intricately decorated 16th century Igreja da Misericordia, the fortifitied castke, the Roman bride, and the Convento da Nossa Senhora da Graca.
  8. There are various jeep trips that take you into the mountains along the west coast and up into the hills behind Albufeira.
  9. Golf is massive in the Algarve and the apartment is ideally positioned to visit the 30 courses in the area.
  10. The are many hourse riding centres around Albufeira.  An early morning ride on the beach and then eating breakfast 'cowboy style' is an experience not to be missed.

 5. Karting Almancil

Why not have a day out at the inaugurated by Ayrton Senna, Godfather of the track. The track is a replica of the Brazil "Jacarepagua" track known in the Formula 1 world. In addition to the main track, there are two smaller tracks for children and toddlers. Also, trampolines and many other activites for the family

 

 

6. Buggy Safari

Fancy a day-out n the beautiful natural Algarve habitat, then this is the one for you. Collected by an air-conditioned minibus and driven into the Algarve countryside, then the Buggy Safari, followed by lunch and then a return Minibus to your resort. All drivers must have a driving licence and children can be a passenger over the age of 6-years.

 

 7. Lisbon

Visit the capital of Portugal.  The entrance is via the famous 25th of April Bridge.  See the Belem Tower and the monument of the Martine Discoveries and visit the Jeronimo Monastery.

 

 8. Seville

Marvel at the splendour of this beautifully historical town, the full day trip explores the melting pot of arts, sciences and commerce. Sightseeing tour to admire some monuments such as the Bullring, Tower of Gold and the Plaza d'Espana. Usually trips offer two options, either the Cultural Seville or the Shopping Seville.

 

 9. Silves

Discover the ancient city of Silves with it's Moorish Castle and XIII century Cathedral. Also explore Foia (the highest point in the Algarve) and Monchique.
